I first learned about TW in 2005, and soon find it very useful for personal blogging, notebook, and home page application. I added some plugins specifically for web browsing (such as single page mode, hide side bar etc.) I feel very convenient to update my homepage now. And a lot of other people feel it useful in GTD (getting things done, another term that you can Google).
