Welcome to my homepage

First of all, let me tell you a little about myself. I was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh in 1981. However, I have lived most of my life outside of Bangladesh and thus have few memories about the place. Our family moved to Norway when I was about 6 years old. Norway was interesting in itself. The place receives incredible amount of snow. I lived in a place called Trondheim. It is a coastal city and is therefore incredibly humid. After about three years in Norway, my family immigrated to the United States in the summer of 1990. We originally went to Mankato, Minnesota. Minnesota weather is terrible. Incredibly hot and humid during the summer since the state is right next to the great lakes. However, the winter is stormy and icy. All around, not a very good place to live.

At this time, Dallas was one of the largest growing sectors in the United States. With both the east and the west coast overpopulated, people began to take notice of the undeveloped southern areas. Our family moved to Dallas in 1991 and we have lived here ever since. The weather here is unpredictable at best. Some years are quite good while others are not. We have completely bonded as a family in this place. We live in a suburb called Irving. The life here is pretty good since you're about 5 minutes away from everything. There are a lot of conveniences as well as entertainment centers.

My parents, like most Bengali traditionalists, wanted me to be a doctor. However, during my teenage years, I became a big video game fan. It is an addiction that stays with me today. From video games, I developed an interest in technology and its applications in the world today. I attended the University of North Texas from 2001 - 2005 and received a BS in computer science. I have posted graduation photos and my thoughts on graduation. Just click on the link. Currently, I am attending graduate school to obtain a Master's in computer science.

This site is dedicated to my family, both near and afar, my education and proffessional carreer, as well as my personal interests. Please check back once in a while for new updates. Enjoy the site and e-mail me if you have any questions.
